A LITTLE HISTORY

THE ROAD TO LANGUAGE TEACHING
In 1979 I began working with the AMERICAN CENTER for students and
artists, "a bouillon de culture", a cultural "smorgasbord", that offered
opportunities in a world that I was unfamiliar with. I was able to integrate easily
and felt proud to be a part of, honored, to meet so many people involved in
the field of the arts here in Paris, and having fun at the same time. I could
name hundreds people I met from that period but suffice it to say that thanks
to this experience I am where I am today in a space that is happy and healthy
and always forward looking and professional.
For 15 years I worked with the AMERICAN CENTER and believed that this
would be my life, for the rest of my life. In 1994 the Center closed for different
reasons, another reality set in and I had to look to other ventures and created a
school of my own in order to continue with languages which I had discovered
was one of my true loves.
THE AMERICAN DREAM CENTER WAS BORN!!!
This school, founded in 1994, itself was a direct offspring of The AMERICAN
CENTER which closed its doors to the public that year. In order to continue the
tradition of language learning and to provide a space for an American
presence in Paris. ADC specialized in courses, American English, Spanish,
and other languages upon request: courses of basic language learning from A
to Z, dance, art history, banking, management, leadership etc.
These courses were designed for a public from age 3 to 83 and provided
professionalism and creativity to answer to the growing needs of language as
the world was becoming more of a global village. The AMERICAN DREAM
CENTER was there to provide for those needs and to carry forward the
wonderful experiment first exploited by The American Center.
In 2001, I decided to open up to a different, more personal approach to the
learning experience and decided to dedicate myself entirely, on my own, to my
clients and working partners.
